I like to watch TV shows on DVD. My poor husband, Phil, is so sweet about suffering albeit not so silently through the shows. I just finished One Tree Hill. I was feeling a bit nostalgic, and decided to begin watching Dawson's Creek yet again. It is still my all time favorite show. I can still remember seeing previews before the show ever started! All of the soundtrack reminds me of highschool. Also, I enjoy seeing Katie Holmes before she went insane and married Tom Cruise.
It probably sounds silly because it is a show, and I don't mean it the way it will probably sound. The show, though, reminds me of my friends. It isn't like we had a Joey, Jen, Dawson, or Pacey, but I have had the same close friends for most of my life. Lacey and Jamie and Angel have been in my life since I was in pre-school. Of course, along the way I have made other friends who have become family as well.
Even Phil remarks often on how cool it is that we have all been together for so long. It is so comforting to know that that kind of support system is in place.These people have been there for every heartbreak, crush, tear, laugh, and milestone I have had. They know me in a way nom else ever will. We have had our fallouts, meltdowns, arguments, and makeups...but as of today, the same people who have always matter, still do. That's the feeling this show gives me. It feels like home...
